FEES

Note: In Ontario, school boards, community colleges and universities are prohibited from using public funds for GED high school equivalency programs. However, Employment Insurance (EI and Reach Back), Social Services (Ontario Works and LEAP) and WSIB clients may qualify for support. Contact us at info@ged.on.ca if you need help arranging support from these programs. Also, a number of employers support workers who do the GED Achievement program (--see below for a list of some of the employers that have in the past supported their employees in the GED Achievement program).

Readiness Assessment: The Readiness Assessment uses typical kinds of items that appear on official GED Tests to determine a candidate’s abilities in various areas, including understanding and problem solving. It also provides a preview and preparation for the final GED Tests.

Those whom our analysts believe are ready to write the final tests are given pointers to improve their success, and told how to proceed directly to the Ministry tests.

Those who need coaching will have their results shared with the coaches so that the coaching process can be both efficient and successful (approximately 95% of persons whom our analysts have welcomed into our program succeed on all tests on the first writing).

Those who may be ready now to write the Tests, but who wish to improve their scores on the transcript are welcome to join the coaching program.

Those who our analysts believe would not be successful at this time are given an accurate picture of their current abilities relative to the demands of the GED Tests, and are counselled in terms of activities and upgrading possibilities that will likely lead to later success.

Fee: (cash, cheque, credit card) -- $110 for the Readiness Assessment (3-hr. test, scoring, analyzing, orientation and counselling). To tell us that you plan to attend or for more information call: 1-888-433-1211, (Toronto: 416-481-6043), or e-mail us at info@ged.on.ca

GED Coaching: The GED Coaching program is a compact and highly effective program that allows capable adults to succeed on the GED Tests at levels that match their real abilities and experience. A number of things happen: candidates practice test items similar to what they will encounter on the final Tests (a total of 7-1/2 hours of testing done over two days); needed understandings are taught; the "rust" is brushed off skills that have not been used for some time.

The cost of the coaching program includes the administration, scoring and analyzing of the Official Practice Tests (3-1/2 hours), and exit fine-tuning and counseling.

Fee: (cash, cheque, credit card) – Full program $445 (including Official Practice Tests); partial program can be a little as $305 (including Official Practice Tests).  Materials fee of $35 covers Casio FX260 calculator and textbook.

For more information: 1-888-433-1211, (Toronto: 416-481-6043), or by sending your question by e-mail to info@ged.on.ca

Other Services: Upgrading opportunities can be provided for at a moderate cost. Quotes are based on an individual’s needs. The Official Practice Test, if done outside of the coaching program is $95.

Final GED Tests: The Ministry of Education administers the Tests over a two-day period and issues the Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate. The fee is $100.
