A Brief History of GED Achievement |
| |
|
|
Early directors and associates of GED
Achievement played key roles in bringing the GED to Ontario in 1996.
Once the GED arrived, they spent hundreds of
hours raising awareness about the value
of this credential for both the corporate and public communities. They
presented the new High School Equivalency program to more than five hundred
employers and human resources professionals, and partnered with school boards
through continuing education and guidance staff. GED Achievement
was instrumental in ensuring that the GED was an integral part of the LEAP
program for young sole-support mothers on social assistance, and later with the
Ontario Works clientele. |
